The purpose of this blog is to keep a record of our learning as we progress throughout the year. My aim is to write a brief summary and reflection of each lesson. I will also add in some links to news stories that I feel could be of interest to the group. Please use your blog to communicate with me and the rest of the class. Please use Google Chrome when you are writing in the comments section of any given post.

Are we falling in love with robots?
Who doesn't love robots?
Here is an interesting article I sourced. What do you think about this? The link is below.
I think robots are pretty cool and I think they are starting to take over certain aspects of the workplace, from driverless buses to automation in some factories. Drones are also becoming popular. Hopefully it won't replace the human completely though!
Thanks 'anon'. I agree with all of that. They won't get rid of us lecturers though, will they? Robots and robotics is a topic theme that has been delivered as a presentation subject in the past actually. There is no shortage of information on it either. For me, it should / could be about balance in terms of robots. I believe there is a trial in the South Queensferry area where there are to be driverless buses. How many of us would go on them now? I might, just might. With reservation. I think 'The Bullet' trains in Japan and China have been fully automated for a few years now. I am interested in futuristic innovations. Safely! Mark
